Dota 2 15th March Patch – Content Analysis

March 16th, 2012

It’s no surprise that this week’s new hero is Shadow Demon, the Dota 2 blog post from last week heavily hinted at it and his updated particles from the last patch also helped with that prediction.

Dota 2 Test 24th Feb Patch – Content Analysis

February 25th, 2012

My prediction prevails again, this week we get Bane, in a slightly different context, he arrives on the new DotA 2 test client.

The arrival of the DotA 2’s test client should result in content being pushed out to the community faster, more patches and time to test things before they reach the live version.

DotA 2 itself essentially becomes a stable/released product, DotA 2 test is the real beta. This is a good thing, so less tears would be nice please.

Also we got Axe in a labcoat and glasses, what more could you ask for?

Front End Changes *

With the addition of two new heroes (Silencer and Spirit Breaker) we’ve also received portrait and model updates for a number of the existing heroes (Slardar, Huskar, Drow and Earthshaker) the latter two only receiving minor changes.

Slardar with the full head remake, Huskar with a rework to his face, Drow with a rework to her jaw, and Earthshaker with his positioning, totem and beard.
